Are you researching social inequality and would like to broaden your perspective? The ISI awards fellowships lasting several months to researchers from Germany and abroad. Apply for a research stay in Munich and become part of a vibrant international network that critically examines social disparities - with a particular focus on wealth inequality.

The ISI invites applications for a Research Fellowship in Munich with a duration of three to six months. The aim of the program is to promote cross-national comparative research on social inequality.
The fellowship is aimed at researchers in the early or mid-career phase who are working on a major research project (e.g. article, book) in the field of social inequality - ideally with a focus on wealth inequality - and would like to think about their work beyond the national context.
Expected:
- Stay in presence at ISI (Munich)
- Work on a clearly defined project
- Participation in the weekly research colloquium
- Presentation of the project as part of a presentation at ISI
- Submission of the resulting research as a contribution to the ISI Working Paper Series
The Fellowship includes:
- a monthly stipend (depending on qualifications and experience)
- One-off payment of travel costs (economy class) from/to your place of residence
- Support with visas, finding accommodation and family relocation through the LMU Gateway Service
- a workplace in our cooperative research lab
- Access to the LMU libraries and facilities
- diverse networking opportunities with international inequality researchers
